Live Your Dream. Sail around the world.

CRASHED INTO our 1st ROCK after 4 Years at Sea!

You get pretty laid back after four years of sailing. By now we’ve had plenty of close calls and nothing serious has ever happened. Well, this crash scared the bejesus out of us! It was loud. It was sudden. And our minds immediately jumped to the worst case scenario; A massive jagged gaping hole that is not easily repaired or pluggable. Indonesia has very few haul out facilities especially for catamarans. So few that the consequence would be limping to Singapore or Malaysia some 500 miles away. Luckily, this was just another close call. Hopefully our last! (I doubt it).

Hey Guys!
Toby here. I live on a FP in Boot Key Harbor, Florida Keys. I’m wondering how you get your satellite imagery. I just signed up for your course, subscription whatever thingy. Gracias

You guys are great! I’m glad the rock didn’t turn out to be serious. My question: what do you do with your sewage?

Overboard Jonathon! Our poops are microscopic compared to that of a whale!

How do you download the satellite images? Are they preloaded or downloaded realtime? Really enjoy following your travels!

Scary but ended without emergency drama. You must be relieved. Did you ever resolve the leaking Lewmar escape hatch matter?

Still working on it. Just ordering new hatches now. 900 Euro each plus 300 euro shipping. Insane but we have no choice. Time to fix em once and for all.

Not yet. We are ordering Lagoon 380 hatches shortly and will be ripping out the old ones in about a month when we do another refit in Malaysia.
