Emotions Getting Ready

Regret. Worry. Anxiety.  “Did we make the right decision? Why did we buy this 13′ trailer? Did we make the right choice with this boat? What the HELL are we doing? Are we courageous or stupid?” Scared is a pretty good word to describe us at times. Who does this? Who sells most of their possessions and then puts all of their savings into a boat? You’re either crazy or stupid. Whatever it is, we’re not without our worries. There have been many of late nights working on the Boler trailer. Many late nights finalizing our paperwork life. Many late nights programming for startups. It’s been a roller coaster. I don’t think I have ever worked as hard as these past three months.

This Boler was possibly one of most brain dead ideas we’ve had. Let’s renovate a 41 year old trailer. In 4 weeks. Which brings me to deadlines. They’re amazing. But exhausting.  The thing is, stuff get’s done. My dear friend posted this the other day:

…And it is so true. “No excuses” has been one of our driving forces. Deal with it. Sink or swim. No one cares about your sob story. No one cares about your excuses. But, everyone loves what you’re up to (watching from the comfort of their couch).

My superwoman, Ashley, has been sewing cushions. She’s a rockstar. I believe some days she has come to bed just a couple hours before I have gotten up. Her fingers are sore. Her shoulders are now permanently fused in a forward slouched position. She has taught herself a new profession. Master Seamstress. Thanks YouTube. Who needs college or university anyways? Want to become a Lawyer? Check YouTube. Commercial pilot? No problem.

Life is to be experienced. Land is to be explored. Let’s go do this!

Thanks Hali. We’ll be sure to dedicate a Boler after post. Ashley did an awesome job on the upholstery.
