Back in the Grind

We had an absolutely amazing ride home from the Sunshine Coast to Victoria. Alarm went off at 4:30 AM and we untied from the dock at 5:15. I don’t think we have ever had a crossing quite this flat. Almost boring to be honest.

We’re also starting to gain some confidence in our “Sweet Chariot”. She performed without issue and only chugged half a tank. All in all, we’re looking at $100 each way from Victoria to Keats Island. So $200 return trip. Comparing this to BC Ferries I think we’re better off taking our own boat:

Ferry cost for 2 passengers Car + Gas : $80 + $70 = $150. This obviously doesn’t include accommodation for the weekend. Keats is free and we usually cook our own food.
