Live Your Dream. Sail around the world.

How We Set Sail Around the World at Age 35

Well here it is. Our story of how we quit the rat race. How we’re sailing around the world in our mid 30’s. It’s nothing special. We’re not trust fund babies. We simply worked hard. Made some strategic decisions and went full throttle. Often life is defined by a few key decisions. A few moments of bravery. We’ll be the first to admit; We were scared shitless when we bought this boat. We had tons of negative thoughts when we were faced with the cost of a massive refit. Looking back, those were tiny moments of boldness that defined our trajectory. Nothing more. Nothing less. It’s not magic. What’s your dream?

Hi Ben and Ash! Still lovin’ the videos and watching you from back in BC. The kids here also enjoy them, and have some questions. You mentioned in a recent video you were going to answer people’s questions… where’s the best spot to submit them?
Thanks,
Paul

Hey guys. I’ve watched your entire channel and I think you’re living my dream. You two are a very genuine couple and I love how you immerse yourselves into the local cultures and help people along the way. It says a lot about who you are (Canadians of course!), but also adds so much to the entertainment value of your videos. Would you guys be able to do a video about how to connect with boat owners that are open to another couple joining them to share expenses and experiences? I’m not sure how common this may be, but it might help a lot of other subscribers as well to give this a try on a small scale before committing fully. Regardless, I love what you’re doing and look forward to more awesome videos! Thanks!

Bob, I was about to ask the same question. I already have a trip planned to Nassau in April for vacation but also to explore/research the Marina’s, Cats for sale, meet people etc…
Ran across the Nahoa videos on YouTube and have been hooked since. Ben and Ashley do outstanding videos and are genuine people living many of our dreams.

I have seen a few “crew bank” type websites, but they seem quite limited for people just looking to connect with other people to share sailing costs.

You guys are awesome. I’m home alone, it’s a snow day in Saint John NB. Nothing better to do than watch cruising videos on YouTube, and then I stumble on you two. Your upbeat informative videos are a welcome and huge contrast to my reality. Just awesome. I think it’s binge watching time. Hope we don’t loose the power. Cheers!

Wow, you two have hooked my wife and me. Incredible, we are in our mid 50s and now are planning sailing lessons and fitting in as much sailing as possible in 2019. Well once the St Croix river thaws.

quite often, I watch an episode or two of you guys sailing, and then, it leads to depression as I end up having to go to work. You guys put me in my happy place as I watch and see all of the people you encounter. Realizing most that I am very fortunate for where I am, I still to this day am envious of you two. Keep sailing and keep uploading new videos! Red sky at night!!

What are your long term plans? First for Sailing around the world?, second for your more long term? I mean, do plan for sailing until you die?

I have been following you now for a few months on YouTube, and recently on Facebook. Most of us only dream of doing what you did and never make it a reality. For this, I am truly impressed. I love watching you both with your videos and drone videos. Sites are spectacular. For me, the best part is watching when you go deep sea fishing and catch tuna and dolphin and the excitement that results.

Keep it up. I look forward to more videos and destinations.

Thanks Paul. I cannot wait to make another fishing video. Just working on the boat here in Palau and will be out in blue water again shortly. I can guarantee you the lines will be out and the camera will be rolling to capture the next catch. It’s a pleasure to share these moments with you guys as much as it’s for you to watch them!
