Would love to hear an episode where you both talk about the decision as to why you decided to have a baby at 35. It seems you both had enough on your hands with the boat and editing content. Also having the freedom that comes without children to worry about, curious to your thoughts on that decision. Also, would love to hear about what sailing books you recommend and websites you use to navigate and make travel decisions with. Thank you in advance.

Great questions. Probably not possible to give you a full answer here but in short, life is short and it’s best lived to the fullest. We would have adopted if we could. There are so many children we have seen in our travels that need a home. Vanuatu comes to mind. But unfortunately due to adoption rules (for very good reasons) would likely not deem us as a safe household. We may someday still pursue that avenue but will likely cost us our citizen ship. We will see.

Working on a complete new website in the coming months. Stay tuned as it will have all the resources we recommend.

    Cheers,
    Ben

Good morning you three, we love your videos! Thank you for sharing. Chuckled a bit to learn your boat is in the new marina between Ao Nang and Krabi town, we’ve been going there for years. Had a place there. If you’re ever traveling to the interior BC, (Shuswap lake) we’d love to put you up and tap your knowledge and experience of sailing off into the sunset. We’ve been down to Florida looking at Lagoon cats. Amanda seams to be hesitant, seems to be holding back where as I could leave tomorrow and live in shorts and flip flops. Be safe and passing on love and best wishes from the Konopacki’s. Hope to chat soon.

Thanks Rob and Amanda. That’s relatively close. We would have been real close in August when we were in the trailer. Maybe next time! We hear you on living in shorts and flip flops Rob. Could pack my bag and be out of here in an hour. It’s incredibly hard to cut the tethers to land and they always tend to grab us again. But it’s also incredibly freeing to live in board shorts and flip flops. It’s funny because after a year of non-stop travel we always look forward to coming home for a visit (grocery stores, running water, dishwasher etc). But we also always look forward to returning to our boat after 2 months at home. Grass is always greener on the other side I suppose!
